One of our flagship contracts is with the Ministry of Defence at a major base near Watford – a complex, high-profile environment where we provide a full range of hard, soft, and technical FM services. 

We are currently looking for a Security Escort who will be primarily responsible for escorting staff, visitors and sub-contractors as necessary in accordance with the site security requirements as well as providing compound area security and traffic marshalling. There will also be a requirement to utilise the site vehicles and move people and articles around site in support of Facilities Management operations. General assistance in other operational reactive tasks will also be required.

As the Security Escort, you will:

• Coordinate the escorting, security, general assistance, and traffic marshalling requirement as necessary, implementing and controlling the priorities as dictated by management.
• Provide a chaperon service, ensuring all persons requiring escorting are correctly identified and comply at all times with the site security and safety requirements.
• Provide site compound and temporary works areas security.
• Carry out traffic marshalling duties within the military base site as and when required
• The above requirements will be needed at weekends from time to time. When this is the case compensatory time off during the week will be given or Overtime due.

We are looking for:

• Good team working skills, but also ability to work on your own
• Must be able to adapt to changing priorities 
• Be able to fully satisfy the Client security clearance minimum requirements - MoD SC atmDesirable
•  Previous experience of MOD or critical environment sites is desirable
• Excellent team working and problem-solving capabilities
• Excellent customer care skills

This role requires a minimum level of security clearance and may also require a higher level of National Security Vetting. You should be aware that certain levels of clearance or specific projects and/or sites have UK residency requirements; and any dual or multiple nationalities must be declared. Any persons who do not fulfil this residency requirements may be unable to obtain the required level of clearance and would not be eligible to undertake this role.
