You will be working in the Building Services OU based in Essex in where we are responsible for creating healthy workplaces and efficient facilities that improve people’s lives. Through collaboration and innovation, we deliver high-quality solutions that make a lasting, positive impact for people and communities.


We are currently looking for a Project Manager who will manage and deliver life cycle and capital works projects. To collaboratively work with Stakeholders as part of an integrated team including adherence and compliance with both Skanska and the clients systems of work.


As the Project Manager, you will:

  • Manage Life Cycle, Capital Project work including design management, temporary works, estimating, resource planning and implementation of direct labour or contract labour.
  • Lead the project, facilitating requirement, design review, prestart, progress and handover meetings.
  • Working with the Contract and Commercial team to ensure all quotations are completed and returned within the Project related KPI and Performance Management System time scales.
  • Pre plan all works with relevant stakeholders and then liaise with all relevant parties. Ensuring access is available and the planned works do not compromise day to day operations and that works are delivered in an efficient and cost-effective manner.
  • Where required support out of hours and weekend working in relation to projects that demand the level of management and resource, to be agreed with line manager.
  • Provide monthly reports to the Capital Works Manager, General Manager and Commercial Manager relating to Life Cycle, Capital and small works projects. 


We are looking for:

  • Technically qualified to minimum of HNC (Building/Mechanical/Electrical) or relevant Degree plus 5 years experience in the management of multi-disciplinary projects.
  • H&S qualification e.g. IOSH H&S Managing Safely certification or SMSTS certificate.
  • CSCS card or equivalent.
  • Desirable to hold professional qualification in building related discipline or Project Management.
  • Must achieve enhanced DBS as required
